Re-invigorated by the Arts   4'40"
James Wallace
It is vital to have ‘cross fertilisation’ between different interests in life. To concentrate on any one aspect of business is assisted by the other roles that one plays; the diversity supports the focus.

The stimulus of being involved in the Arts makes the business world more workable for James - he acknowledges that this is subjective. More can be achieved because of the vast contrast between the business he runs and the other things that he does.

How success is measured depends on the framework: if it is only monetary or running a successful company, this single focus can be achieved but this does not necessarily mean that the achievement brings well-rounded satisfaction. Being involved in a wide range of activities and interests creates greater satisfaction.

Engaging in the areas for which one is passionate takes the mind off problems being faced in the business world, and then one can return fresh to deal with problems.
