At school John had a maths teacher who took an interest in him when he was working with a puzzle. This resulted in them coming to a solution which involved a specific formula. In the process, this taught John that if a problem can be solved by ‘smarts’ (thinking) and that “if solutions to problems can be found by thinking, then you can take on the world.”
