Max Shepherd Primary networks are built as a researcher at university, and through a successful scientific career an international network was built. This was the most important network as the technical aspects of the products are the most important. Other networks come about through dealings in the community and Max served on Polytechnic council and served as Chairman which engaged him with a range of other professionals, exposed him to the best practice of governance, budgets, timelines etc. Those contacts have been invaluable.
